In Minnesota, we are starting to get back to something similar to normal, but still with cautions. As the pandemic enters a new phase, we never know when there can be a resurgence, or if we will continue to get closer to a new normal.
Regardless, as TCCOM remains open for our residents and their guests, there are plenty of outdoor activities around our Country Club that are as safe as they are enjoyable.
Biking Trails
While biking is a fun activity you can do virtually anywhere, there are many wonderful trails in Central Minnesota. Take for instance the famous Lake Wobegon Trail, which is an asphalt covert pathways for easy, relaxing rides. It also stretches over 65 miles in case you were looking for a heart-pumping biking adventure. Find more nearby bike paths here.
Hiking Trails
Looking to step outside and connect with nature at a slower pace? There are also plenty of walking and hiking locations throughout the Clear Lake area. From area state parks and nature centers to paved paths and county parks. Check out a comprehensive list of hiking trails here.
Canoe or Kayak on the Mississippi
The river area surrounding Traveler’s Country Club is a big draw for kayak and canoe enthusiasts. The Mississippi and its many connecting rivers and creeks are a water enthusiasts playground. Routinely, TCCOM members launch their boats and canoes from the riverbank in their quest to explore the river. Don’t have a canoe or kayak of your own? Check out some of the nearby rental shops.
Fishing (of Course)
Minnesota and fishing go together like campfires and smores. It’s no wonder that it’s a popular pastime in our land of 10,000+ lakes. There is a variety of fish you can catch on the Mississippi. It all depends on what you are looking for. Check out our Mississippi River fishing guide blog post for more information.
